The concept was simple; freak out the target audience. If you were stoned or tripping on 'shrooms, what would freak you out more than seeing your favorite shows being distorted and morphed together into something completely incoherent? The entire sequence doesn’t make sense, and that’s the beauty of it. It was created by corrupting the code that a video codec embeds inside a video file during a conversion to a new format, and then "meshing" the datasets of those files together into the final sequence.
